Change doesn't come easy.

Change isn't easy. It's hard to change because change means moving in a different direction. Change means altering ourselves through perception, action and or attitude. Change is difficult because it means having to take a long hard look at the one we face in the mirror.

It's often assumed that change has to become immediate and there for it is easier to keep things as is even though you know as is is not as it should be, nor is it what you want it to be. Change is for the better although it may look like it is for the worst, but that's only because changing on one's own is fearsome because it is foreign as there is no measure to keep in step with.

Change doesn't have to be so hard. Change means moving ahead, putting one foot in front of the other and doing what you can in attempts to progress forward. But the trick is to not stymie yourself by making changes without setting goals.

I can help you with that!

We all want to change our lifestyles and live life to its fullest potential in health and longevity. Achieving a lifestyle change starts with healthy eating. As much as Fitness is included in a healthy lifestyle change it is better to address one issue at a time and make small changes that eventually lead to bigger ones. These small changes allow you the strength to go the distance and when it comes time to transition onto another phase in your life; what once seemed huge, really is an easy task to accomplish.

If you are not big on change, I recommend you do not do too much too soon. Achieving a healthy lifestyle starts with healthy eating. My main focus is to get you results, but those results have to LAST.

  First things first:

Before you do anything else, I would like you to aquatint yourself with your eating habits.

We take food for granted and use food as a source of comfort or a source of satisfaction. Food can mean many different things to different people and without realizing it we commonly eat for reasons that help make us feel secure or to cover up our insecurities. Foods can bring us back home in memory during our most darkest moments; or it can become a source of self harm in attempts to hide emotional shame and personal physical barriers.

Food was a gift to us from our provider and in order to help yourself shift yourself away from negative eating habits, it is helpful for you to identify how food has been used to shape your life.
Most of us do not realize why we eat nor are we mindful of when.

  • Create a simple journal and record what you are eating through out the day and when.

  • Make note of the circumstances that fit around your eating times. Were you hungry? Did you eat to feel comforted or hide emotional pain or stress? Did you eat out the feeling of entitlement, wanting what you wanted when you wanted it?

  • Take notice of  your emotional gratification at the onset of eating. Did eating help alleviate any emotional struggle? Did you feel better or worse off after eating? Did you have any allergic reactions to what you ate? How did your mood change?

Keeping track of your eating habits helps you to understand the value you have placed on food and what food is really worth to you. Do this for a week before progressing to the second step.

 Secondly:

  • Once you have documented your established eating routine and habits, continue to document your behavior while asking for the aid of either myself or some other person to help you identify together manageable ways to break through your food barriers that are keeping you from achieving your ultimate health and wellness.  Because we are closest to the situation, it is hardest to see things from an outwardly perspective and asking for help from someone who has your best interests at heart will be able to offer objective and insightful alternatives that you otherwise would not be able to see.
  • Working with me, I will help you understand how you can use food to your advantage by allowing food to adjust your PH Balance within your body while addressing emotional issues with sound biblical insight. Using the information gathered we can then adjust your goals correctly to help make them more attainable and attractive for you to reach.
  • During this time you will transition some new foods into your diet and phase out the old foods.

 Thirdly but not lastly:

Knowing who you are inside helps to define you on the outside.

During week three I will teach you some light stretching and exercise routines to help you further advance you to reaching your weight loss goals. I do not promote go hard or go home. While you do need to push yourself, I do not give you anything more than what you are able to do so as not to overwhelm you or add injury. You work at your pace and what you are comfortable in doing as you are a work in progress and loosing weight progressively is healthier than loosing it immediately as this method also establishes healthy habits that enable you to maintain and follow through and make a liveable lifestyle change.

Easy peasy lemon squeazy right? It is... you can work on your own, but you are not alone. I am available to help... What I need is a six week commitment from you... ready ... set... Let's do this!
